Job Description

SUMMARY


Responsible for performing the production facilities daily maintenance tasks. Executes janitorial assignments pertaining to sanitation, safety and regulatory standards. Must possess general knowledge of simple plumbing, electrical and carpentry work. Will participate in food production operations including filling, restocking and cleaning according to proper FDA and USDA specifications and procedures.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following

• Performs daily sanitation procedures maintaining facility standards
• Keeps records of completed daily inspection logs and chemical usage
• Responsible for non contractual repairs and maintaining facility appearance including but not limited to:
  • Maintaining all hallways and walkways (including carpets and runners)
  • Cleaning and stocking all restrooms
  • Stocking all sanitary stations inside and outside production areas
  • Removing trash and debris from office and production areas. To be placed in the receptacles on the dock. These are to be emptied and the discretion of the manager on duty but must be completed by end of day.
  • Completing janitorial and sanitation checklists according to master sanitation plan.
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


One to three years related experience and/or training. This position requires an organized individual that is self motivated and takes charge, is dependable and responsible and deals with criticism calmly and effectively. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal management.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to regularly stand, stoop, kneel and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
