Job Description

Client Profile

This company operates within the medical technology industry, specializing in the development and manufacturing of critical care equipment used in healthcare settings.

The Role

This role plays a key part in enhancing the company's working environment and supporting organizational development and business growth. You will be responsible for a wide range of labor management activities, including payroll, bonus administration, and social insurance procedures. Additionally, you will contribute to building a positive and attractive workplace culture by supporting the implementation and enhancement of HR systems and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Address general employee inquiries and FAQs.
  • Provide support for onboarding, resignations, leaves of absence, relocations, internal transfers, and probationary periods, in coordination with managers and relevant departments.
  • Conduct New Employee Orientations (NEOs), internal info sessions, GES coordination, and long-service award presentations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Administer programs related to merit-based salary increases, bonuses, defined contribution pension plans, retirement benefits, life insurance, and company housing.

Payroll Management

  • Oversee paid leave and attendance tracking, payroll and bonus calculations, payment processing, issuance of payslips and relevant notifications, and tax procedures.

Global HR Collaboration

  • Localize and execute global HR initiatives in Japan.
  • Provide feedback on local HR requirements and participate in global HR alignment meetings.

Government Affairs

  • Handle all necessary social insurance filings and procedures.
  • Issue statutory documents, reports, and employment certificates.
  • Manage processes related to Japan's "My Number" system.

HR Systems & Vendor Management

  • Maintain and manage HR systems and shared folders.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure service quality and compliance.

Employee Representative Engagement

  • Coordinate meetings with employee representatives, facilitate discussions, and support the representative election process.

Policy & Compliance

  • Draft, revise, and submit work rules and labor agreements to the Labor Standards Office.

Health & Safety Management

  • Manage work-related accident reports and annual health check procedures.
  • Oversee the Safety and Health Committee in the role of Health Manager.
  • Select and support health promoters, coordinate with industrial physicians and departments, conduct workplace safety inspections, manage stress checks, and participate in ESH (Environment, Safety, Health) initiatives.

Reporting

  • Prepare reports and certifications required by corporate headquarters, local government authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Cross-functional & Project Roles


In addition to core responsibilities, you will also contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and support the planning and execution of company-wide events and projects.
