Key Responsibilities Partner with leadership to align HR practices with organizational strategy and workforce planning Develop and implement HR policies, employee handbook, and internal regulations compliant with Japanese labor laws Drive organizational design initiatives and apply people analytics to support data-driven decisions Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, sourcing, screening, structured interviews, and offers Develop and manage performance management systems, guiding managers on assessments, feedback, and coaching Administer payroll, benefits, and total rewards programs; conduct periodic salary reviews and benchmarking Serve as a trusted HR partner by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, leading employee relations Over 5 years of progressive HR experience covering both strategic HR planning and hands-on HR operations Strong knowledge of local employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices Experience managing full-cycle recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and influence organizational culture Native-level Japanese proficiency Proven track record in a startup environment with a hands-on approach to managing a wide range of HR functions. Practical, hands-on mindset with comfort in rapidly changing environments Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively English or Korean proficiency preferred]]>
