Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our senior management team. Reporting to the Vice President of Construction, the Operations Manager will provide overall leadership, motivation, and management of business development, estimating, project delivery, and general operations.

This role is responsible for aligning day-to-day operations with ASCO’s strategic plan while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to project managers, estimators, supervisors, and support staff.
• Oversee construction operations, including safety, scheduling, quality control, and efficiency.
• Support business development and estimating, including bid strategies and client proposals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and partners.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, and KPIs to ensure profitability and growth.
• Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.

The preferred candidate will have:

• Minimum 10 years of progressive management experience in concrete formwork or structural construction, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Strong background in project management, estimating, and concrete formwork operations.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional designation (P.Eng., PMP, etc.) preferred.
• Bilingual in English and French preferred. English is mandatory.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams and multiple projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for government security clearance.
