Join Our Team as a Fishing & Nature Program Leader!

Do you love spending time outdoors, sharing your passion for fishing, and inspiring others to explore the wonders of nature? The Round Lake Area Park District is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to lead engaging fishing programs and help supervise our Nature Museum on weekends.

In this role, youll have the chance to:

• Create and lead fun, educational programs in fishing, paddling, and nature education.
• Guide participants of all ages from curious preschoolers to seasoned adults in outdoor adventures and team-building activities on our challenge course.
• Welcome and assist visitors at the Nature Museum one day each weekend, making their experience both memorable and educational.

Qualifications

• Fishing experience is a must.
• Strong communication skills and a love for working with people of all ages.
• Enthusiasm for teaching, wildlife, and the natural environment.
• Comfortable handling live animals and non-living specimens; knowledge of native plants and animals.
• Able to work independently and complete challenge course training within your first year.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
