The Role

We are seeking a Finance Director to lead and oversee all financial operations in Japan. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring expertise in Accounting, FP&A, and Controlling. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior management to drive financial strategy, ensure compliance, and support business growth.

Your Skills

• Proven track record in Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Controlling within multinational or retail environments
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ability to manage month-end close, statutory reporting, and internal controls
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Excel (VBA, Macros)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Qualifications

• Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles
• Experience in Retail industry
