Job Title: Family Life Pastor
Location: Forest Baptist Church, Lambton Shores, Ontario
Position Type: Full-Time
Overview:
Forest Baptist Church is seeking a Family Life Pastor to join our leadership team. This role focuses on
discipling and equipping families, children, and youth to grow in their faith, while providing
pastoral care and leadership to existing and future family ministries.
We are looking for a male leader who aligns with our theological convictions and ministry philosophy,
brings energy and vision to family discipleship, and can lead with humility, integrity, and wisdom.
Church and Community Snapshot:
 Founded in 1871, Forest Baptist Church is an active, multi-generational congregation.
 Located in a vibrant community with 2 elementary schools, 1 high school, and various
recreational opportunities.
 Our facilities include a large sanctuary, gym, classrooms, youth room, kitchen, and more.
 Ministries include: Sunday Kids Ministry, Kidz Club, VBS, Jr./Sr. High Youth Programs,
weekly clothing ministry, Spanish guest worker ministry, and support for Ukrainian families and
global missions, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
 Lead and oversee all family and youth ministries (Sunday School, Kidz Club, VBS, Jr. High,
High School).
 Disciple families and youth through teaching, mentoring, small groups, and events.
 Shepherd parents and students, offering biblical guidance and pastoral care.
 Recruit, train, and support volunteers for all children and youth ministries.
 Select and manage curriculum, resources, procedures, and program budgets.
 Ensure ministry safety through adherence to our Vulnerable Sector Policy.
 Coordinate with other churches for joint youth events and outreach.
 Develop new ministries as led by the Holy Spirit to meet emerging family needs.
 Preach occasionally and support other pastoral responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
 A clear and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated by character, humility, and
passion for discipleship.
 Full agreement with Forest Baptist Church’s statement of faith, mission, and lifestyle policy.
 Strong relational and leadership skills, with experience overseeing volunteers and ministry
teams.
 Proven ability to disciple and engage children, youth, and parents.
 Able to teach sound, practical, and biblically faithful content.
 Organized, self-motivated, and dependable.
 Formal theological education.
 Experienced in local church ministry.
 Willing to work evenings/weekends as ministry demands.
Compensation:
 Salary based on experience and education.
