Concrete Superintendent

Kieswetter Excavating is seeking a skilled Concrete Superintendent to join our growing team.

As our Concrete Superintendent, you'll oversee all phases of concrete construction from planning to completion. You'll lead diverse projects including commercial flatwork, residential foundations, decorative walls, and infrastructure work throughout the Waterloo Region. This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on technical work and team leadership.

Your Impact:

Project Leadership:

• Direct crews through complex flatwork installations including slabs, sidewalks, and specialized surfaces.
• Oversee foundation and retaining wall construction ensuring structural excellence.
• Manage concrete forming, layout, and finishing operations to meet exacting specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to maintain seamless workflow.

Quality & Safety Excellence:

• Implement and monitor curing processes for optimal concrete strength and longevity.
• Conduct thorough inspections and quality control throughout all project phases.
• Champion our comprehensive safety program and maintain zero-incident jobsites.
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and building codes.

Team Development:

• Mentor crew members in advanced concrete techniques and best practices.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and career growth.
• Coordinate training initiatives to enhance team capabilities and safety awareness.

What You Bring:

Essential Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of concrete construction experience with proven supervisory success.
• Demonstrated expertise in both flatwork and wall construction techniques.
• Strong background in blueprint reading and project specification interpretation.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Work Details:

Schedule: Monday through Friday with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend availability Location: Waterloo Region - home every night Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
