Job Description

• Responsible for receiving requests estimates or pricing from operations or customers and reviewing the request to ensure sufficient information is given determine required resources and identify all the associated costs.
• Responsible for working with the operational managers and supervisors to build up proposals for work requested.
• When required the estimator will and may need to contact vendors for pricing on rental equipment, materials, and other required resources.
• It is the responsibility of the estimator to properly compile the details of the proposal, including the scope of work and unique considerations/stipulations, into a well-structured and easy to ready proposal letter.
• The estimator will ensure all estimating request are properly logged, and that all documentation for the proposal is stored in the appropriate location.
• The estimator will follow up once a week with operations and account managers to update the status of any proposals that have not been marked as awarded or not awarded.
• All estimators will ensure requests are logged, tracked, and completed in a timely manner.
• Perform job walks in customer facilities to identify scope and resource requirements for larger projects.

Requirements

• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Proficient in the use of Excel and understanding of formulas, pivot tables, data validation, etc.
• Basic business literacy including understanding of profit, cost, margins, etc.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to work with others in a professional manner

Preferred

• Experience reviewing CAD drawings, prints, and/or engineered drawings
• Experience working in a fabrication, CNC, or manual machining shop
• Experience with field machining, millwright work, shop pump repair, specialty bolting, and leak repair services

Salary Description


$28 - $32 per hour depending on experience
