The Department of Elementary, Middle Level, Library and Learning Technologies at Kutztown University invites applicants for our temporary adjunct pool in teacher education for the following areas: PreK-4 methods courses in science, math, social studies, and literacy. Middle level (grades 4-8) methods courses in literacy. Student teaching field supervision in both areas. Undergraduate or graduate course offerings could be day or evening. We are seeking colleagues who have a passion for preparing the next generation of teachers.Minimum QualificationsA master's degree in the field of education, with at least 5 years' experience teaching in K-8, is required.
Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be certified to be placed in our part-time adjunct faculty pool and will remain in the pool while the pool is active. As need arises, applicants in the pool will be considered and contacted for an on-campus interview. During the on-campus interview, a successful interview and demonstration of abilities are required to be selected.Doctorate and at least one year of college-level teaching experience or equivalent, experience working with diverse learners is preferred.
ESL Endorsement, Special Education Certification, Instructional Coaching Endorsement, and/or interests in teacher inquiry or action research are encouraged.
