PROJECT MANAGER – ELECTRICAL

This is an outstanding opportunity with a leading construction company at the forefront of renewable energy and electrical infrastructure across Canada and the United States.

The role is fully bilingual (French & English), and the employer is open to candidates located in other provinces, with occasional travel expected to project sites.

About the Role

Reporting to the Electrical Director, the Electrical Project Manager will oversee the electrical scope of high-capacity wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects - each spanning hundreds of megawatts. This strategic role blends engineering expertise with leadership and project delivery, contributing directly to Canada’s clean energy transformation.

What You’ll Do

🔌 Engineering & Execution Oversight

• Lead and coordinate the electrical engineering activities with clients and consulting firms
• Ensure that engineering deliverables meet project milestones, client expectations, and compliance standards
• Oversee procurement of major substation equipment and build strong subcontractor partnerships

📅 Project Management Excellence

• Monitor and support site execution during construction
• Participate actively in key project meetings to drive alignment across teams
• Ensure engineering scope is delivered on time, on budget, and within quality specifications

What We’re Looking For

🎓 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Systems (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
• 10+ years of experience in high-voltage substation and medium-voltage network construction
• Deep understanding of utility connection processes (Hydro-Québec, Hydro-One, AESO, etc.)

• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams
• Bilingual in French and English
• Willingness to travel within Canada as needed
