At Recovery Village Palm Beach (RVPB). Pay Maximum: USD $16.00/Hr. Responsibilities:

The Food Services Assistant will assist in the preparation and service of residents' and patients' meals, snacks and beverages in accordance with Federal, State and Local Standards and the facility's established Standards, Policies and Procedures. The FSA will clean dishes, work areas and dining room; will provide quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for the department.

Works effectively with the facility leadership team top ensure success of the facility by completing the following

 

Core Job Duties

  • Prepare food service facilities for the serving of food; count and set out an appropriate number of food trays; prepare the steam table for serving hot meals.
  • Wash and prepare eating and serving areas; set out food, trays and beverages according to established procedures.
  • Maintain work areas and serving areas in a clean, sanitary and safe condition; wash and clean counters and steam tables; wash and store pots, pans, trays and kitchen equipment.
  • Heat, portion and serve food to patients according to established procedures.
  • Assist in storing unused food and supplies; dispose of unusable leftovers and garbage.
  • Operate a variety of standard kitchen equipment such as a dishwasher, and ovens; report faulty equipment as necessary.
  • Reporting any concerns to immediate supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year in a related field preferred.
  • Reliable transportation (required).

Position Competencies

  • Proficiency in providing effective support of food services functions.
  • Demonstrate the capable to understand and follow established portion control procedures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function as a team player and able to interact, integrate and upheld the standards of the facility.
