The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the industrial and manufacturing industry. Based in Hiroshima, this role requires expertise in human resources and the ability to build effective hiring processes.
Description
Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business needs
Lead and support the recruitment team for smooth hiring processes
Work closely with managers to plan and meet hiring demands
Promote employer branding to attract top talent
Track and improve recruitment performance through key metrics
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
Build strong talent pipelines for key roles
Manage relationships with external agencies and job platforms
Profile
Strategic & Localized Leadership
* Translate global/regional TA strategy into Japan-specific execution.
* Balance global alignment with deep local market understanding.
* Build trust with internal stakeholders across legacy and new structures.
2. Stakeholder Management
* Confidently engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders (global HQ, Japan leadership, universities, agencies, RPOs).
* Serve as a key point of contact between Japan operations and global TA leadership.
3. Campus & Employer Branding
* Leverage existing university partnerships and strengthen new graduate hiring programs (~300 new grads recently onboarded).
* Enhance employer branding to secure top talent in a competitive market.
4. Team Leadership & Operations
* Lead a diverse TA structure (direct reports, contingent recruiters, RPO partners).
* Drive performance improvements, collaboration, and effective processes.
