Robert Half is looking for a talented Industrial Designer/Detailer for an exciting 5-month contract opportunity within a fast-paced, creative fabrication environment. The Detailer is confident in producing precise technical drawings for fabrication, assembly, and installation across a variety of materials.
Responsibilities:
• Produce highly detailed, accurate production drawings for tradeshow booths, museum exhibits, and retail displays.
• Attend pre-production meetings and review client-provided drawings to inform final detailing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure design intent and build feasibility.
• Maintain, update, and revise drawings as required throughout the project lifecycle.
• Optimize material usage and incorporate mounting, substrate, and manufacturing considerations.
Requirements
• 3+ years’ experience with Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
• Background in custom fabrication, millwork, or exhibit design.
• Understanding of wood, acrylic, metal, and glass construction methods.
• Strong drafting skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a project-based, fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and openness to collaboration, feedback, and revision.
• Self-managed with the ability to meet deadlines and track multiple projects.
