About The Role

Amrize Construction is seeking a seasonal, full-time Concrete Finisher to join our team in Saskatoon, SK. This role is responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete on various road construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety and efficiency on-site.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Apply curing and sealing compounds to protect finished surfaces.
  • Place, level, and finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Install expansion joints and edge concrete structures.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Identify and correct imperfections to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in concrete finishing

Required Training/Certifications: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Required Technical Skills: Ability to use various concrete finishing tools, knowledge of mix designs and setting times

Travel Requirements: Knowledge of the City of Saskatoon and surrounding area

Additional Requirements

  • Proven ability to follow safe work procedures and complete field risk assessments.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
