The Internal Medicine Program at Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services (NL Health Services) invites applicants interested in a full-time, salaried Clinical Assistant position in the Division of Internal Medicine at the St. Clare?s Mercy Hospital, St. John?s, NL.

The Clinical Assistant will work closely with an Internal Medicine Specialist. Under such supervision, providing services in chronic disease management, acute inpatient care, long term care, palliative care, respite care, and emergency care/patient stabilization.

This position is accountable to the Clinical Chief of the Medicine Program and will work under the support of an Internal Medicine specialist and will be responsible for daily ward rounds and ward work (include arranging investigations/family meetings/availability to review patients during working hours). The position will provide inpatient care and onsite call coverage for Internal Medicine.

The opportunity of Clinical Assistant, is open to physicians with a background in Family Medicine and may even be a community Family Physician. It is also open to physicians with a specialist background. All candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.

• Eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)

Remuneration : Remuneration is competitive and in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association Memorandum of Agreement and MCP Fee Schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing their own administrative support.
