Class 1 Local Delivery Driver

- Local routes (guaranteed home every day)

- Travel and living-out expenses covered, per company policy
- Salary:
- $34.13 (starting) to $38.75/hour; Salary increases per company policy, after 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month employment, and annual reviews.

Requirements:
- Languages: English
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Credentials:
- Class 1 driver’s license
- Clean commercial driver’s abstract
- Must be able and willing to pass a company driving test

Duties:
- Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
- Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 – 1000 cases/shift)
- Operating straight trucks and tractor trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes
- Maneuvering and backing up heavy trucks or trailers at various delivery sites, including in narrow streets, back alleys, etc.
- Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reporting
- Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices
- Following health and safety and safe work procedures
