We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational strategy and execution of our growing organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic foresight, operational excellence, and people leadership—ensuring that our systems, processes, and teams are aligned to deliver sustainable growth and exceptional performance. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the COO will oversee day-to-day operations, drive continuous improvement, and play a pivotal role in scaling our business, optimizing efficiency, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across all functions.

1. Strategic & Cross-Functional Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across Production, Product Development & Tooling, Marketing & Sales, Finance, and Infrastructure.
  • Translate company strategy into actionable departmental plans with clear KPIs and milestones.
  • Drive operational alignment and accountability across departments to meet both short- and long-term business goals.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve process efficiency, quality, and scalability.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Oversight

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with the finance team and department heads.
  • Monitor ongoing expenses against budget, ensuring financial discipline across all teams.
  • Analyze operational costs and develop strategies for cost reduction and margin improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial and performance reports to the executive team.

3. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Manage department leads, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
  • Build a high-performing operations culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and ownership.
  • Lead workforce planning, hiring strategies, and team development in collaboration with HR.

4. Production & Product Development Coordination

  • Ensure production timelines, quality standards, and capacity planning are met.
  • Oversee product development cycles and tooling processes, ensuring seamless handoff from concept to production.
  • Implement systems for monitoring product quality, inventory control, and continuous improvement.

5. Marketing, Sales & Demand Planning Integration

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to align demand forecasts with production planning.
  • Support go-to-market strategies with operational readiness — including inventory availability, pricing inputs, and supply chain coordination.
  • Track customer feedback loops and work with product/marketing to improve product-market fit.

6. Infrastructure, Tools & Technology

  • Oversee the infrastructure strategy to support business growth, including facilities, IT systems, equipment, and tools.
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to streamline workflows, data reporting, and team collaboration.
  • Ensure business continuity and risk management measures are in place across operational areas.

7. Compliance, Governance & Process Control

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies across all operational functions.
  • Establish and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to create consistency and auditability.
  • Monitor operational risk and proactively implement controls to mitigate potential issues.

8. Data, Reporting & Insights

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reporting structures to track performance, costs, and progress against goals.
  • Use data to inform decisions, optimize processes, and identify growth or efficiency opportunities.
  • Lead or support board and investor reporting where relevant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • 20+ years of experience in operations, with atleast 10+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven success managing cross-functional teams in a high-growth, multi-department environment.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of production workflows, product development cycles, and commercial operations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems, operational tools, and reporting dashboards.
