Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the Capability Integration and Delivery (CID) team in defining, prioritizing, and delivering mission-critical capabilities. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between operational requirements and technical delivery while working in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision - Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for CID capabilities
- Align product development with mission objectives and user needs
- Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to inform product decisions
- Establish success metrics and key performance indicators for capability delivery
- Lead product planning sessions and stakeholder alignment meetings
Requirements Management - Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and prioritize capability requirements
- Translate operational needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on mission value and strategic importance
- Conduct regular backlog refinement sessions with development teams
- Ensure traceability from high-level requirements to delivered capabilities
Stakeholder Engagement - Serve as primary liaison between end users, operational teams, and development teams
- Facilitate regular stakeholder reviews and feedback sessions
- Manage expectations and communicate product progress to leadership
- Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure integrated capability delivery
- Support customer demonstrations and capability showcases
Agile Leadership - Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for CID development teams
- Make real-time decisions on scope, priority, and trade-offs during development
- Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters to ensure team effectiveness
- Champion agile principles and practices within the product organization
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
Delivery Management - Oversee end-to-end delivery of integrated capabilities from concept to deployment
- Coordinate integration activities across multiple development teams and vendors
- Manage capability releases and deployment planning
- Ensure quality standards and acceptance criteria are met before release
- Monitor post-deployment performance and user adoption
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in product management, systems integration, or related roles
- Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with agile development methodologies
- Experience with complex system integration and capability delivery
- Security+ Certification
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in related field
- Certified Product Owner (CPO) or equivalent agile certification
- Experience in defense, intelligence, or government contracting environments
- Background in systems engineering or technical program management
- Knowledge of government acquisition processes and compliance requirements
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern software architectures
Salary range for the position is $153,000 - $173,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
