We are seeking Building Systems Students, for our BC Region district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for 4-12 months starting in January 2026. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the District Building Systems Manager.
Here's how a Building Systems Student for our BC Region office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities - Reviewing all contract documentation including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical drawings and specifications.
- Reviewing for possible delays or interferences prior to the initial start-up of the project.
- Producing and maintaining a shop drawing log for all electrical equipment or material submittals and/or samples.
- Pursuing applicable trades for timely submission or re-submissions.
- Assisting in reviewing and providing comments on shop drawings prior to submitting to the consultants.
- Soliciting input from the all the electrical and mechanical subtrades including equipment and material delivery dates for input into the schedule.
- Performing quality control inspections with the consultant and Building Systems Coordinator/Manager.
Qualifications - A strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
- Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
Pay Range: $21.73-$26.65
PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
