Evening Post Books, the book publishing division of Evening Post Publishing , publisher of The Post and Courier, is seeking a paid marketing intern for the fall term. The intern is expected to be in the office in downtown Charleston 10-15 hours per week between early October and the end of December. Scheduling time within EPB office hours is flexible, and there is an option to extend through the spring term for students who demonstrate a strong understanding and execution of the objectives below.
Candidates should be enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a four-year college or university with studies focused on marketing, communications, graphic design, applied English, or a related field. Reporting to the marketing manager, the marketing intern's goal is to work alongside the editorial team and marketing manager to transpose EPB happenings (books, author news, bookstore partnerships, events, etc) to social media and digital platforms to increase brand awareness and reach. By working as a marketing intern, the student will have the opportunity to acquire and further develop their communication skills, time management abilities, and creativity in a professional environment through a book publishing lens.
