BGC has two full time Youth Employment Counsellor position opportunities in our Youth Employment Program (YEP).
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Youth Employment Counsellor works with the employment team to provide young people facing barriers to employment with skills development, mentoring and work experience opportunities to successfully transition into the labor market and maintain employment. The Youth Employment Counsellor markets BGC South Coast BC (BGC) employment services to employers and recruits eligible potential participants.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) salary position ($52,650 to start), with group benefits at six months, pension after one year, three weeks paid vacation leave in first year, paid sick and personal leave, paid birthday off and up to 5 days statutory holiday substitution days per year to celebrate/recognize religious, cultural, and/or personal days that are important to the employee where those days are not currently recognized as statutory holidays in BC/Canada).
