Terms and Conditions:

• Permanent, Full-Time (30-40 hours/week). Hours are weather-dependent as summers are busier than winters.
• Morning: 4 am starts, potential 3:30 am starts
• Salary: $18.50 per hour. Salary increases as per company policy (annual increase of 5% per year)
• Benefits: Health Spending Account.
• Anticipated start date: June 2024.

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education/Experience: Completion of a commercial baking program. Some experience in commercial baking in lieu of training may be considered.
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods; Fast-paced environment; Repetitive tasks; Work under pressure; Attention to detail; Physically demanding; Up to 50 lbs of weight to carry.
• Personal Suitability: Client focus. Team player.
• Work Setting: Bakery.

Duties:

• Bake a wide range of bakery items for our ice cream products, such as cookies, brownies, cakes, caramels, sponge toffee
• Collaborate with the research and development team to develop new baked inclusions for our ice cream flavors
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards for freshness and taste.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure continuous production.
• Operate and maintain baking equipment, troubleshooting any issues with minimal downtime.
• Participate in quality assurance processes and adjust recipes or techniques as required.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of baked goods for ice cream production.
