Associate Footwear Designer

Do you have experience in design and product development, with a passion for fashion?

The ALDO Group, a global leader in fashion footwear and accessories, is looking for a talented Associate Footwear Designer to join our global design team. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their design career, ready to learn, contribute, and grow in a dynamic, trend-driven environment.

As an Associate Footwear Designer, you will work closely with the design and product development teams, supporting all stages of the creative process—from concept to development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in seasonal sketching, creation of tech packs, PLM entries, and material mapping
  • Perform daily updates of digital mockups (CADs), colorways, and file organization
  • Contribute to trend and market research, assisting in the creation of seasonal inspiration boards
  • Support the creation of design products and visual presentations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, sourcing, and product teams
  • Maintain clean, organized, and consistent digital files

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in fashion or design is preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of design experience or a strong equivalent internship
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools
  • Strong sketching and Illustrator skills, with attention to proportions and construction details
  • Ability to manage personal workflow while meeting multiple deadlines and product launches
  • Passion for product and curiosity about how things are made
  • Collaborative and positive attitude, with strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative within a supportive team
  • Knowledge of trends and consumer behavior is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Bilingual: English and French — required, as the team communicates in both languages
